Little Rock, Arkansas, and his divinely inspired

was affected by his sexuality, HIV/AIDS, religious

In 2008, Carl was the subject of a four

part series in the Arkansas Democrat -

Gazette newspaper entitled, “ The

Long Way Home." The series was

honored with the 2009 Mental Health

America Media Award for Excellence

in Journalism. With his life now a

audience, Carl anticipates and

documents what is yet to come.
